The cultural and historic heritage of our region is quite condensed in the central area. Oviedo, its capital over a thousand years ago formed the foundations of the Asturian Monarchy and the expansion throughout the kingdom of Spain. This stages and hosts the Prince of Asturias rally and a mountain spine connects the rally down south to the Cantabrian Mountains.
